(NSFW) This episode finds us talking to Shay Gau and Justin Evans, proprietors of The Wandering Tortoise, home to all things hoppy, malty and wonderful.  The Wandering Tortoise is many things, bottle shop, beer mecca, brew geek clubhouse, dog friendly watering hole, and the mysterious yet inviting “shit beer of the week.”  Shay and Justin talk about how The Wandering Tortoise came to be, how they left their jobs in the hospitality business to become masters of their own domain, and opened a place the curates what is arguably one of the best tap lists in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix, AZ in case you hadn’t heard).  Shay and Justin know just what it takes to woo big name breweries to hook them up with some pretty hard to get beers, Modern Times, Cascade, Alpine to name drop a few, but there is also no shortage of great local staples that Phoenician’s have come to love and expect.  Sit down and listen to what it takes to be a successful beer entrepreneur, because these guys definitely know how to run a great beer shop / tap room.

The assorted sounds of three ageing humans hitting things in a studio for five days. Beautifully nasty and pretty vile at times but ultimately gorgeous. Enjoy!
